That’s why she’s put together Breastfeeding Beyond Babyhood, because she knows how hard it is to find support when you have an older nursling.
Samantha uses her science background (she has a PhD in chemistry and public health) to help parents and kids thrive at Evidence-based Mommy.

Why weaning is about more than just your toddler
Meg is the mother of three breastfed boys and lives with her husband and children in QLD, Australia. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in private practice and works with parents to help them reach their breastfeeding goals. She has a BA in psychology and her prior work was in counselling and sexual health. She was a La Leche League Leader (breastfeeding counsellor) for seven years before becoming an IBCLC. Meg is the author of two books including, “All Tied Up! How To Keep On Boobin’ Through A Tongue Tie” and “Boobin’ All Day…Boobin’ All Night. A Gentle Approach To Sleep For Breastfeeding Families”.

Abby Theuring is a blogger, podcaster, public speaker, activist and parent of 2 boys. She writes and speaks about everything breastfeeding and parenting. Abby has a master’s degree in Social Work and worked with abused and neglected teenagers for 14 years before her son, Jack, was born. Upon the birth of her son she quit her job and refocused her passion for advocacy to breastfeeding. Abby hopes to empower parents through her blog, podcast and social media.

Laura Shaz is a mother of two little ones (ages almost 6 & 3 years old), a certified yoga teacher, Aware Parenting (AwP) Instructor and Ayurvedic massage therapist. She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Mediation and lived in Israel, facilitating between youth in conflict.
Laura grew up in America and now lives in Australia. She is passionate about physical and emotional healing for families and about making mothers’ and families’ lives more joyful. She does online and in-person AwP consultations and leads mums and bubs, as well as pregnancy yoga classes.

Holly Milkowski’s ongoing breastfeeding journey began in 2012, sparking a passion for advocacy and empowerment of families. She utilized her writing background to start a breastfeeding blog called Mama’s Milk, No Chaser; this serves as an inspiration for her upcoming book about full-term breastfeeding. Holly owns Your Labor Neighbor LLC, through which she offers holistic doula support, childbirth classes, placenta preparations, and shares resources as Director of Intact Houston and Intact Texas.

Zainab is clinical hypnotherapist and practitioner at No Milk Like Mamas, offering nursing aversion and weaning support. Zainab has been a breastfeeding peer supporter with the National Health Service (UK) and is the owner of the resource site for mothers and healthcare practitioners on aversion where she has helped tens of thousands of women and families when breastfeeding triggers negative emotions – both Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex and aversion, through her advocacy, free structured support course and peer-to-peer support groups.

Ergonomics of breastfeeding – Reduce the strain!
Katie Bayer, PT, DPT is a therapist with a focus in manual work and functional strengthening. She has a special interest in spine issues, women’s pelvic floor dysfunction and treating pregnant and postpartum women, utilizing an array of hands-on techniques including soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, cupping, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation and dry needling, along with Spinning Babies© techniques. She also focuses on ergonomics with caring for and feeding babies, along with strengthening to return to regular life and exercise without pain.
After experiencing a C-section with twins, and several years later a VBAC, (vaginal birth after C-section), she experienced the need for help both during pregnancy and with the recovery process after birth. This set her on a path to help others going through the same.

In addition to her writing, Hilary serves as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Eckerd College in Florida, and holds a Ph.D. in Ecohydrology. She lives in Florida with her youngest child (16 yrs), and her once-upon-a-time tandem nurslings are now adults in the wide world.

Alison received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2006.
She has been a lactation consultant with UPMC Altoona since 2012, rounding on inpatient maternity mother/baby units, providing staff education, prenatal family education, and outpatient consultations.
In addition, Alison has made a huge impact as a La Leche League Leader since 1999, and is currently the Professional Liaison for La Leche League of Western PA.
